Awww Chill you’re the best!! I hope you computer gets well soon. Happy New Year’s Eve. We heading out to spend the night with our oldest son & his wife. Then we’ll all spend New Year’s Day eating (not too much) and watching football I expect.

Happy New Year! Things are almost back to normal here…as far as visitors go anyway. House is pretty much in shambles. I gave no idea what we are doing tonight. I hope nothing. Will be back soon!

Twitter has had the jitters today. We are going to see Sherlock Holmes at 4:40 and then have 8:pm reservations at some expensive new restuarant downtown. Hope we don’t get stuck in traffic going downtown to party and see the fireworks over the harbor. Ugh, I recall my parents eating pickled herring at midnight on New Years, while I went out on the porch and blew a horn and beat on a pot. Those were my shirley temple Drinking days. Not sure I’m in the mood to sit thru over 2 hrs of Sherlock followed by a 4 course meal. I swear I never get to pick the movie. Would rather see the Charlese T. one, or the Decendents, Mission Impossible or Dragon Tatoo.
Hope you all have a warm and cozy, fun night. Can’t believe it will be 2012! I think of the 1990′s as modern times. Y2K ya’ll!!

We are going for an early dinner at a Longhorns not far from us. Kayla is off to a party at her friends apt who goes to Montcliar State, and Brodie is off to another bond fire party. Told him no replays of last year when the drunk guy fought with one of his friends and the two of them landed in the fire pit and him and his buddy jumped in the pit to pull them out.

Haha, we both fell asleep, Kayla called a few minutes before 12 to wake us up and we put Dick Clark on and brought in the new year. My poor Tommy did something to his shoulder, he can’t move his arm, he was cleaning the water off the pool cover and did something, not a good way to start the new year, hes in a lot of discomfort. We’re gonna try some moist heat today and a cream the dr had given him when he did something to it awhile ago,hope he gets some relief.

Sherlock Holmes was entertaining and Robert Downey and Jude Law were great. They both sported scruff and for the first time ever, my mind wondered to how would Taylor look on the big screen in a major role. That was because of Tay’s scruff and because both Jude Law and Downey are considered handsome actors. I decided Taylor would have looked way better but Downey has the acting chops. Also it was a comedic role with lots of funny facial expression and Downey had a mixed gray beard, so that too must have made me think of Taylor. Well, maybe someone will type cast Taylor in a small role in 2012.
Chill, how do you like your vacation so far? I’m hoping to get back to my normal routine in a few days, before the eating, drinking and visiting thing kills me. Oh, then there are the Jan. bills.

It’s quiet everywhere. I just ran out to the grocery store, no one there. Great for me. I was in and out in record time. I needed my Coca-Cola.
Poor Tommy. Are you waiting on him properly? He could be faking, if you are.
Chill, do you drink real coke or diet coke? Nothing is better than real coke, but I rarely have one. I got a bottle of Pepsi Max that is pretty good. I think it has caffeine and that is probably why it is better than pepsi zero. Or is it Coke zero. I mostly drink filtered water or ice tea after my 2 cups of morning coffee.
I drink straight Coke. I love the stuff, ice cold. It’s my winter drink of choice, in addition to coffee, which I drink year-round. In the summertime, I don’t drink Coke, only sweet ice tea.
Chill, Not waiting on him too much, he has to go to work tomorrow hes afraid if he doesn’t won’t get paid for the holiday. The cream we put on seems to be easing it a little, so hopefully he’ll be ok.
Used to love coke, not a big soda drinker anymore. Love my hot tea in the winter well all year round and sweet tea in the summer, always have a jug brewing in the warm months.

Not positive JI but I think they refer to those cards as “keys” sometimes since they are used in the place of real keys.
Its ridiculous that there is no backup for so many things any more. All it takes is someone screwing up the computers to bring us to a halt.

When I was at my sons on Thurs. he was on his blackberry half the time, because someone at the Federal Gov. agency where he works forgot to backup some vital and costly data. Then he and my SIL who works for the Army Core Of Engineering were relating some past horror stories of back up failures.
You have no idea how happy I am that the holidays are over and I can settle in for cold January and Febuary.

And my computer geek finally returned my power cord to the Taylor shrine (external hard drive). He forgot to give it to me the last time he debugged my computer. Went for my checkup at the Cardiologist today all is good! He wants me to set up with Cardiovascular Dr to get my left leg finished, this way I’ll have good circulation in both legs. Not looking forward to that, have to lay completely still for 6 hours after the surgery, but guess its all worth it in the end.

Taylor looks larger and more imposing on TV than he does in person. I mean he is only 6 ft 1, which is tall but he looks bigger on the screen. I like the TMZ guys and gals. I watch the show often and they make fun of everyone. I’m sure Taylor enjoys them stopping him to ask their nonsense questions.
Second largest gossip conglomerate=outstanding publicity. Get into the public eye a bit, people remember you. And he looks amazing. Win.
You know, if the rags got a hold of the fact Taylor is dating John Wayne’s GD, it might make him the talk of the town, a little maybe … i’ll be honest here…. it might sound like that’s not a great idea, but if he wants to get his name out there and make people aware of him, it might make a little easier to sell his new CD (and get casting agents aware) …. it’s FREE publicity, and you know what they say about publicity… any is good. And he’s movie star good looking these days, so that can only help. It would help HER and her group as well.
On the other hand, perhaps that’s not the goal for Taylor, but I think otherwise, cuz he’s always happy when he sees his name in the paper – when he’s put in a good light – and selling lots of CD must interest him as well.

People are nuts. All those tweets from people saying they are no longer going to be a fan because they didn’t like Ron Paul.
This is the first time twitter’s been around for a national presidential election. Last night reading the tweets was like reading an AI board. I may have to stay away from twitter on the nights there are primary elections. I had just started following some new people and one guy retweeted every comment made about his favorite. I had to unfollow him.
I admire the fact that Taylor keeps his private life separate from his career. The last thing I would want to see is him following in John Mayer’s footsteps. That dude completely destroyed all his music creditability by constantly being in gossip mags with his latest celebrity girlfriend. I lost track of how many he dated over the years. I even heard some DJ’s joking one day about John Mayer, the guy who dates celebrities…..instead of John Mayer the talented guitarist.
tishtx, I totally agree, he has respect for the ladies in his life, by keeping his relationships quiet. I can’t stand John Mayer his antics turned me off to him and his music, funny you don’t hear much about him lately.

Jersey, I’m loving having the time off and lounging around in the pajamas, but twitter has not been fun the last couple of days. Someone needs to step away from the computer. Unreal.
What I don’t understand was when that gal was blocked before, her so called friends all agreed with her and theorized that it had to be a mistake on T.’s part twice or that someone hacked her account twice. A real friend would have suggested that perhaps revealing Keb Mo and the tweets in bad taste were not a good idea. Now she has half the Wayne family following her and they are subjected to her nonsense.

Seriously after I read all of those snark comments implying a dumb blonde and knocking her fashions and tweets, I went and read her timeline and looked at the photos. She dresses super and is stunning and there was not one damn thing wrong with her tweets. Those average looking gals were just seething with jealousy. Little spunky Tayla read around and put them on notice and did it in a delightful manner.

I think Taylor is having a good time on his vacy and not worrying whats on his timeline. I’m sure when he takes a minute to look some will be blocked thats for sure.
I went and read Jenn’s timeline also, I find her to be very sweet and endearing that she embraces all that follow her. I was impressed to see that she took the time to tweet all of you that tweeted her a happy new year back indiviually, to me that says alot about her. I think she dresses just like any other 26yr old single lady nothing trashy about her at all, her style says relaxed and comfy to me.

I think I sent him a video when he asked for them. I can’t remember. In any case, he didn’t use it if I did. LOL I’ve only taken a few. I can’t stand holding the camera when he’s on that stage. But congrats to all whose videos he used, it’s a great riding shotgun! Yes, and it’s nice that he dedicated it to Carson. So sad. I love the video from that night they were on stage together, that young man was happy!!

Chill, Yes you could see how happy and content Carson was the night he performed with Taylor. You could also see the compasion in Taylor’s face that he was there with him. Not many would have gone to the lengths Taylor did to make that youngman feel a part of their show the way he did.
Not complaining but this weather here is crazy. Wed we were 11 degrees with a wind chill well below zero, started to warm up Thurs, today it feels like its in the 60′s. Its been going like this since Nov we drop then the temps go up. Haven’t had any snow since the one in Oct that knocked power out for us for almost 4 days.

Was so happy to read that little Taylor Love is in remission. I’ve been following her progress on the Care pages. The family must be overjoyed that she has been given this second chance to live a normal life. I can’t even imagine what they went through having a child so sick, your world comes to a complete stop, nothing esle must matter just getting your child well.

That little girl is so adorable, and I’m happy that she’s doing well!! It seemed touch and go not that long ago. Scary. I can’t even imagine what it’s like for the family. And what a brave girl she is! Great, great news!
I really hope that bone marrow transplant has put her into indefinite remission. We have a family friend who had bone cancer as a little girl. She was cured and is healthy to this day. It can happen!
That’s really good to hear PFS! My BFF gave bone marrow to her brother about a year ago but he died a few months ago. I don’t think it was the same kind of cancer though.
I hope this is the cure for her too. A childhood friend’s daughter had cancer at 3 and they did bone marrow on her, she is all grown now and a Mom herself. Guess it depends on the type of cancer it is and how agressive it is, the success rate they have.

The news that Taylor Love is in remission is wonderful. I too have been following her on the family’s Care Page. The whole Love family have been very brave through the whole order. I’m praying that God has wonderful plans for this little girl and that she lives a long and happy life.

my son & dil got married in May with the hippie wedding are on the jam cruise tonite…Fort Lauderdale to Haiti & Jamaica…1 year to late to see Taylor…darn….anyway I get to watch the kids…3 yr old girl and 13 mos old boy…And wouldn’t you know it the baby started with a high fever yesterday of 102.9…took him to the dr today..it was 104….turns out it is bil ear infections…wasn’t even pulling at his ears…he is pathetic looking little boy just wanting to be held…normally he is a terror, climbing and in to everything…especially my laptop… loves to pound on the keys…and turn my intenet button off…

On a side note, I watched the game tonight. Happy for Taylor and Alabama! But really ashamed of the human race, reading Jordan Jefferson’s timeline. Sad.

I fell asleep before the ending of the game. I’m glad for Taylor that Alabama won, but I wouldn’t even have been watching if it weren’t for the fact that DH wanted to watch the game. Football’s just not my thing.

Sorry, Ive been missing in action. I have been so damn busy, I look at a couple things , get on twitter for a few and next thing I know I’m falling asleep.
It was a great game, I had a notion it might turn out like that. I didn’t see Jeffersons time line but it is to be expected. What with the wonderful internet and wonderful twitter everyone feels like they can say just about anything. I have to admit that jefferson didn’t seem too used to things not going his way. But these guys are pretty used to that kind of stuff, it seems its part of the price you pay nowadays for perhaps eventually getting a contract in the millions of dollars. And he will get one.
I miss the Jam Cruise, but I imagine bigger things are going on right now.
Henry, I hear you!! Lots going on here too, Getting Kayla ready to leave to go back to school on Friday. It went so fast can’t believe its time for her to go back, snff, sniff. Then next weekend Lily turns 1 on the 22nd, shes just about walking on her own takes a three steps starts giggling and falls, but she seems to getting the hang of it!!
I am sure he takes it with a grain of salt, but people can be so hurtful with their comments. Guess it won’t matter when he does get one of those big contracts, which he most likely will.

I was just thinking about the fact that all 3 of my children were out of the house and completely on their own by the time I was 46. I did not realize at the time that 46 is still rather young.
I have fighting an off and on again cold for 2 weeks and haven’t been here much to post. But I got caught up with reading.
I wish I had a vacation planned for Feb. or March to a warm sunny place. I had no problem getting off the low dose antidepressant last August, but now I’m feeling achy and moody . I’m sure I have Seasonal Affective Disorder. It’s going to be a long time until April and seeing the first buds on the trees. And it is too damn dark and dreary. Ok, I’m done bitchin for now.

Rosie, You were young when yours moved out on their own! Brodie has been talking about going out on his own also. He wanted to buy a house but is now thinking maybe renting one with a friend for awhile might work for him. Then we will really be empty nesters, LOL!!:)
Kayla had a cold hang on from before Thanksgiving, when she was home at TG we had her go to the Dr’s they gave her meds but it never really went completely away. So she went again the day after Christmas they put her on another med and she seems finally dried out now.
My MIL used to get like that come Jan, she really got depressed about the days being short and being stuck in during the winter months, but we just used to keep talking to her and get her through.

Oh, and I get the seasonal thing too. I hate, hate, hate winter, everything about it; the cold, the slush, the snow, the itchy skin, the darkness. I’m not made for it. I think the last time I liked winter, I was maybe 9.
Let’s make a pact to help each other get through it.

I still feel lousy with a sore throat and muscle aches, but so far have not had more than just an occasional dry cough and sniffles. I’ve been taking vit c and sucking on zinc, and using a teaspoon of black elderberry flower about 4 times a day. Dr. Oz says skip the soar throat meds and just take advil for sore throat and aches and pains, so I have. Tonight I might say the hell with it and have a few highballs.
Rosie, I just took the tweet that they keep missing each other.
These colds are so nasty. Kayla just got over one that lingered from Thanksgiving went to the Dr’s day after TG, and again the day after Christmas.. She started with a sore throat yesterday and is congested today. Her boyfriend has a cold, so guess he shared it with her!
She just left to go back to school. Little worried the winds are wicked here and snowing on and off. Will be a wreak until I hear from her that she got back safe.

Chill, I see twitter is wild tonight. Took me a few minutes to figure out who was who and what was going on, boy do some people have jealousy issues, attack, attack, attack. Why can’t people just leave T and those close to him alone, and stop bothering Jenn’s friends, seriously folks need to get a life.
Kayla just called, she made it back just hit alot of traffic. Now I can rest easy knowing shes not on the roads anymore.
