Yep, hes no. 1 and hes at 168 on the ALL TIME most views.
At least he is on one list, their lists are nuts. As I saw someone say tonight if they won’t play him on the radio , we’ll play him on the internet.
And I just saw your playlist.
I’d put up a yea smilie but I don’t know what that would be.
Yes, that vid is definitely one of the top ten hot hot hot.
They just had Taylor on, they played SMB and really liked it and him. Didn’t have the folks on that won the contest, but said they had Tastey Cakes with some fans. He said he never had Tastey Cakes and was going to stuff his face. They asked him about his love life and the female DJ said she could never date a guy like Taylor he had better shoes then her. He said he will buy shirts and pants at TJ Max but goes all out for the boots and shoes. The boots were snake skin. They said they will put up pics later I’ll take a look and bring them over.
Couldn’t get the video up at twitter the tiny url wasn’t working for me, I’ll try again later.
I think they mean it when they say you can send them in once an hour. When a number of people do that and they get a bunch at once , I am really beginning to think thats the way to get added. Getting added to the request list is just a small step but its something.
Maybe it would be a good idea to concentrate our efforts on just a few stations at a time. Send in one an hour if you can. I’m not sure but I’m beginning to think it would be the best idea. But then after hes added to the list , you have to keep requesting. If anyone has an idea which stations would be the best to concentrate on put it here. I’ve been told the one in Philly is a big one.
Henry, I’ve been doing the Philly station every hour for the past couple of weeks getting in 10-15 requests a day. He was on the play list but this week came off have to write in now, maybe that he has been on they will put him back up.
Got a few into that Indiana station last night, glad it paid off.
Henry, I got your e-mail(s)! Thanks! I can’t tell if they’re fully functionable though because I can’t download Real Player to this computer at work. But they appear to be and if I were at home, I’m sure it would not be a problem, so consider them successful. Interesting stuff you guys are leaving me today! The boots! *fallen, can’t get up*
Butterscotch Krimpets, chocolate and peanut butter tandycakes and just about all the Tastykake pies are the best! Taylor is doing great on tv in every city. Grease is very much helping his career and CD sales. Except for the most recent top 2 from AI8, Taylor is on TV more than anyone else from Idol. People do watch their local morning channels, some before work and many who stay home. Yes, I know the radio stations he has visited, do not play SMB but at least they’ve met him. He looks great on the local TV stations and comes across as talented and a guy with a great personality. He promotes Grease and himself. All of those connected with Broadway know Tay’s value. From reading the boards and blogs, I know some still are not happy about Grease. For me as a fan of the man, from day 1 I knew I had to go see him on Broadway. Seeing him live on stage in that role is miles above anyone’s video. He just shines as a comedian and singer, star and entertainer. rosie
Rsoie, Just put up at the bb that I send my brother Tasty Cakes in NC can’t get them there. The other biggie when he visits is Taylor Ham and bagels from the place we used to get them growing up, some tastes just never change in life.
Really getting excited for Sunday. He is a multi-talented man and I enjoy every aspect of his career, he is emerging as a great entertainer and thats what it is all about for him, entertaining folks.
I know SMB is now #1 vid on AOL and while I don’t do as much as some I have done my part on the video clicks the past 3 months. No way has his numbers been due to just those who read the BB or other hard core fans. People must be curious to click on TH and then enjoy the song and video and spread the word. What is needed is someone to bring this to the media. One of my children is part owner of an advertising agency which employs many and has two major league sports teams as clients. Sadly this child is no fan of Taylor and when someone mentioned months ago New Found Freedom could be an ad for products, I mentioned it to said offspring. Tay’s photo with the box of Tastykakes, had me going again. I’m not bugging my child with this, but someone with savy and balls and writing skills, should be able to figure out a way to draw attention to Taylor drawing more hits than MJ.
JI, my high school friend who moved to Texas, stocks up on Tastykakes when she visits Balto. or her NJ relatives in Jersey. If you mean Taylor’s Pork Roll. I grew up on that as a breakfast meat and as a sandwich for lunch. My San Fran born and raised daughter in law wanted no parts of it the first time she visited. So I threatened her with Scraple, a way more mysterious meat, dipped in flour and then fried. Can’t believe Tastykake never went national when it is hoards above Hostess, Drakes and Little Debbie. Almost bought some today after I had my Driver’s Liscense renewed, but upon looking at my new photo declined. rosie
Rosie, Yeah Taylor Portk Roll, it is a staple in my house, hubby loves grilled cheese and Taylor Pork roll. The butterscotch krimpets are the best, my son long ago wouldn’t try them didn’t like butter scotch, about 8 he finally tried them still loves them today!!! I also don’t know why they never went national they have a great product.
Don’t know anyone in the advertising business, my niece was the photo editor for Fortune Magazine for a couple of years but hated commuting into the NY city now owns her own interior decorating business. That would be great if he could get some advertising on a well known product.
Just one more question before I call it a night. Who do you think is getting SMB so high on MuVids and AOL? You know what, it is almost creepy that the song gets so many hits but doesn’t get radio play. Taylor is not current news, he was the AI winner over 3 yrs ago. Read the BB and other fan sites and then explain his hits, the number of views against MJ. I’ve been perplexed since way before MJ’s death, but this is bizaar. I used to think mistake or foul up on MuVids, but AOl is big! Heck, guess I was even surprised by WRIR stats, but this seems surreal.
Reasons not that important rosie, all the internet seems to care about is numbers. Hes being played because people love him and his music and want to see him doing well.
He could have gotten a lot more mileage out of being number 1 if they had listed it as country like it is everywhere else.
It shows he does have fans that care. If he had gotten this kind of support on the first album he very likely would have gotten more radio play. Or even for WRIR. But at that time Taylor had fans that did not understand the internet and how big numbers work for radio play and other attention.
So they downloaded to their computers and did not hit the spots like many other artists fans did, left him looking like he didn’t have many fans.
Thing is I hope for Taylors success for his sake, not because I want to impress my friends and neighbors.
If you didn’t find it , here is Taylors sessions page at AOL. I love listening to them and he was certainly hot….hot….hot that day.
Not seeing a damn thing “cheesy” about him or his music, whatever in the hell that word means.
I hit the vids at the sites as many times a day I can, some days more than others. Until Henry told me about going to the actual site to play them I didn’t realize it either that he wasn’t getting the hits, all the vids I played cause I had saved them and he didn’t get credit for it. I guess the word is out and folks are going and giving him the hits at the sites and it is making a big difference.
Henry, Got a big kick out of his last tweet asked him if hes been in the cone too long and the air maybe not so good!
Yea!! JI
But maybe we shouldn’t get too excited. Someone said at boogie that if a station plays a song, like they did yesterday when he visited, then it automatically goes on there request list for a time.
But I had not noticed that always being the case so we will watch it. Seems the more requests they get the more likely it is to stay there for awhile and you would think that if they get enough requests they might play it.
I have also been told that a local station has absolutely no control over what is or is not on their request list, but I sure don’t see the evidence of that. It sure seems like they have some control over it. I’m just observing and learning a lot.
Henry, I think we are all learning as we go. Son mentioned something to me about mediabase that they take all the requests into consideration but look at the zip code entered if the request is locally it seems to have some weight. He said someone told him that. Again don’t know if that is true or not but it does make some sense if you are listening locally that they might tend to look at those requests first, I got 17 requests in at 92.5 yesterday the most I’ve done in a day.
I don’t even put in a zip, I was told that all that was neccessary was a name, they take it and thank you for the request so I guess it works. If they want to know where its from they can tell from IPs , I’m sure.
But these stations anymore are really pushing this online listening and seem to be trying to get listeners from all over. If thats the case I’m not sure how much difference it makes.
I do know that the fans of other artists are sending them in from all over and they seem to think that it works.
But I’m really starting to think that rather than sending a 100 to a 100 different spots, it might have more effect to sent 10 each to 10 different spots. I’m still sending a bunch all over, but more and more I am trying to concentrate my efforts and sending a lot more than one to the bigger stations or the stations where he is at and may be visiting.
Henry, Thats what I have been doing making sure I do the requests for the PA stations on the media base every hour and including as many as I can of the others each hour. I know it isn’t hurting him so I do a bunch each hour. Wish I understood it all, but I don’t. Hopefully 92.5 will play him more now that he has been on. Read that they played it again yesterday about 11:30 am, I had gone to the bank about that time so I didn’t hear it.
Hey guys, I only have a minute, I have company, thats why I’m not at work like I should be.
I can’t seem to get my twitter name to work , I haven’t used it in so long and I don’t have time to mess with it right now but maybe you can throw Taylor a few votes in the Mr. Twitter competition.
Hes way behind the leaders of course but not doing to badly. Hes on page 4, I think it is.
I now know why Tay tweeted don’t sweat the small stuff. He met an ignorant journalist who harped on Taylor being loathed , ridiculed and hated. What an ass! rosie
I saw that “interview,” rosie. You’re right, what an ass! Taylor would get sued if he punched someone in the face, so I wouldn’t want him to do it, but a gal can dream.
Got the tickets and camera in my pocketbook. We are leaving a little earlier, hubby wants his Philly Cheesesteak and beer before the show, compromise!!!
Somewhere, once upon a time, I think I had audio of Taylor doing this song. Probably on my old computer. I wanted to put it on an mp3 and never got it done. Anybody know where I can find it ?
Don’t know how much Candi Staton you have ever listened to but for some reason she always makes me think of Taylor. Something about her phraseing and the emotion in her voice.
There are some great pictures of Taylor signing CDs after the show at the Boogie Board. And I do mean Great! I saw a few of them on Twitter too.
Thanks for the videos, henry. I woke up in the middle of the night and decided to have a cup of coffee, LOL. These will keep me entertained. I’m sure I’ll be up at least a couple of hours.
Henry, Nice variety of videos. Saw some of the pics on twitter, nice real nice. My daughter will be my photographer, she had 4 yrs of photo in HS and takes some nice pics. She said she’ll try to get some video too!
From a post at boogie: I can’t say enough good things about how that CD signing went yesterday for Taylor. The group surrounding him extended back to the first set of doors leading to the theater doors and was wall-to-wall. The video I took shows that the crowd was all a-buzz trying to get a CD in time to get a chance to meet him
I had no idea that so many would purchase his CD at Grease. I think more are taking a liking to SMB than WRIR. Still reeling from that ass with his stupid, hateful questions and I’m of the opinion that this is one time fans ought to comment. rosie
I’m loving this global cooling in this part of the US. If the rest of the summer stays this cool we will have the coolest summer in 35 yrs., Misters Gore and Obama. Tay ain’t sweating in Philly.
rosy I did not want it to be all negative, so hoped there would be some positive but it has gotten totally out of hand on that article. Starting to sound like splash. Anyone reading it can see who the crazies are but they will still blame the Taylor fans. It just nuts.
And then there are a couple that want to engage the crazies and fight with them. That is just way past stupid as far as I’m concerned.
And it is easy to see that he is a rag journalist or he wouldn’t let that crap go on.
There was one other out of Philly , very nasty to Taylor and his part in Grease, but I noticed that at the end of his article he said “the fans lapped it up” . Well then, what the hell, who cares what he thinks. The audience, the fans, are whats important. And judging from the pics most of those fans were not the regulars.
And about that global warming/climate change crock . Gee whiz, the climate changes, who would have thunk it. We had the tropics when the dinosaurs were alive. Guess what, it changed.
We had ice all the way down to Kansas at one time. Guess what , it changed.
Climates been changing for billions of years, we ain’t goin stop it now. Especially all by outselves. All we are going to do is bankrupt the country.
LOL! That last tweet! I can remember a day when that would have caused a major tremor in the “soul patrol” force! I’m having flashbacks to the first time fuck came outta his mouth! LOL! (can I say that here?)
The guy who did the recent negative review of Taylor as Teen Angel, must hold the Frankie Avalon role as sacred. The part lends itself well to experimentation. It was never a vital part of the play or movie, and I found it the most boring part of the 1978 movie. Taylor jazzed it up and made it the highlight of the show, and the audience laughs out loud. That reviewer didn’t seem to get the humor of a vain Teen Angel and couldn’t even grasp that the audience thought for themselves and decided they liked Tay’s stage presence, interp, singing and effort put forth to entertain them. Someone said he is an economics and philosophy professor and as we well know people in those two professions think they know it all. In reality both fields are as subjective as the music and entertainment fields. rosie
We’re back!!! What a wonderful day we had. Today is the 29th anniversary of our first date and Tommy remebered, he said last night that we were spending our anniversary with Taylor. The show was great he looked an sounded perfect, unfortunately we were sitting by the camera police and couldn’t get much during the show. Hubby and daughter thoroughly enjoyed the show. The lobby was packed, got my CD to get signed. Got up and he said love your hair and he held my hand for a bit, daughter kept getting shoved the pics didn’t turn out real well, she’s gonns see if she can do anthing with them. My good deed for the day, this little boy about 12 had wanted to come to see Grease cause he rememered Taylor from Idol he was so excited. The mother said get in line and get your playbill signed one of the ushers said he only signing CD’s or posters told her the CD’s were $20.00 she said his autograph isn’t worth $20 bucks the kid was just about in tears begging her, so I gave him $20 and the witch that she was said I don’t feel his autograph is worth $20, made the kid give me the money back. Tommy saw what was going on he went and got another CD and gave it to me. The little boys name was Bobby so I got it signed for him. We found him outside Mom wasn’t nearby and gave it to him, he hugged and thanked both of us and quickly put th CD in his packpack. We came back to Jersey for dinner. He said as we were leaving I love you but don’t think I’d do this again the traffic was unbelievable. As we were walking back to the parking garage he saw a sign that a Beatle show is going to be there next Feb and saud wanna come back and see it. So I guess we will be going back to the Kimmel Center in Feb.
Oh I meant to add he was very, very friendly to everyone didn’t see any sign of a pissy Taylor. He took time with everyone although they were trying to rush everyone through the line he stopped talked and took pics for all. Reading that he was hung over he looked dam good for being hung over!!
JI I think a slighly hungover Taylor would look better than most people at their best. I didn’t think he would be too bad knowing he had a show. He was just playing with us a bit.
And JI, you are an angel. Soooo glad you got that kid his cd. He will cherish it and it will be worth far more to him than that $20. Some things are more important.
Henry, The look on that kids face when we gave him the signed CD with his name on it was worth more than the 20 bucks, Tommy just felt the Mom was heartless, not buying the CD and letting him get is signed is all part of the experience. Maybe she just didn’t have the money who knows but we left a very happy Bobby!!!
Hubby just said it was such a nice day the weather was beautiful and we spent our special day together, he wasn’t so sure going he would enjoy it, but was very happy he went, it was well worth the trip!
JI, liked your lobby recap and story. Wow $20.00 is a hefty price, but good for him and his pockets that he can get that much. Wonder if he pays the venues a few bucks for allowing the sale and signings. Still that is way better a profit than those signed with AI. He was so far removed from pissy when I met him after Grease. He was humble and engaging.
Rosie, Thats what Tommy said the theatre, and Grease folks probably get a piece of the CD. He said no matter what the price of CD was it was worth it for me to get to meet him and have a few minutes with him. The theatre was just breath taking. During the intermission my daughter ran up all the steps to the balcony and took some pics of the stage and ceiling and the huge chandalier that hung in the center, they were works of art!!!
Still having a bit of a problem with the BB. I don’t like to be told by so called experts what I should and shouldn’t do to support Taylor. I found it sad that certain fans strongly requested fans not respond to Grease and Tay critiques. I can’t and don’t wish to understand why some say it is a fan board and negative things should not be brought over or discussed. When a few objected to a few of his tweets, I laid low for awhile but then just had to respond. The first month reading there, I didn’t know what his myspace was. Fine some keep track and report. Not my thing. I have no problem, at least now, with things in the wrong threads and thus duplicate posts. It is a great place to discuss all thing Hicks related and many other things. But is it a freedom of speech site? For me, I feel even less free than I was on Morphs to give my honest thoughts. And I don’t get those who seem to be AI fans and get hooked on some other contestant who seems way different than Tay, both music wise and in personality.
Sorry for the rant. I get it that it seems to be a status quo thing, as in that is the way it has been from the start. Don’t worry. My other half Tyme, is not about to tear the whole place down, and be on my way. I respect traditions. rosie
I saw you over there making trouble , rosie. LOL
I am just kidding. I used to get in trouble a lot, in fact I caused a bit of trouble a few days ago and was surprised to learn that there were many that agreed with me, You can usually have your say as long as you say it and move on and don’t harp on it till the cows come home, think I came within a hair of getting kicked off years ago but time and getting to know the different personalities makes a difference. Even tho I sometimes shake my head, I really appreciate the work some go to over there. Many, many things that I would never have seen or heard if it were not for boogie.
Its gotten to where I can almost predict how each will react and would be almost disappointed if they did not.
I tend to stay away from the areas that discuss other artists because thats not what I am there for. I like lots of music and have other artists I like to listen to but thats not the reason I go there so I just leave it alone.
Jersey!!! You’re back! I’m so happy that you had a great experience with The Man. LOL It’s fun to watch his part, isn’t it? How did the crowd react when Taylor came out?
haha, rosie, yes, tradition. I respect the BB too and when I feel the need to tear up, I do it here. LOL
As far as the responding to the negative articles, I can see both sides of it. You want to say something positive but there is always the chance of it spiraling out of control, especially when you are dealing with a so-called journalist that wants nothing more than for everyone to look like a bunch of crazies.
I just decide each one on an individual basis depending on the circumstances.
And yes, there are a few who just don’t want ever to hear anything bad. I don’t go along with that but I don’t argue about it anymore.
Chill, When my hubby first saw the cone he said “how the hell does he fit in there?” But he did and was upright, the crowd went nuts when they saw the cone. Before the show started the DJ Vince Fontaine was asking folks where they were from he pointed to one lady and she said “Pottstown, NJ” which is about 10 minutes from me. The guy got hysterical about the name of the town. All through the show they were saying stuff about Pottstown, and I thought Taylor at one point said Pottstown you say. Hubby and daughter both thought he played it well, hubby didn’t realize he played his harp during the show. He absolutlely loved SMB at the end, he said wow this guy is quite the entertainer I can see why you like him so much. Folks were dancing in the aisles while he was singing SMB. It was just a real nice day!!!
I passed my MD. drivers liscense renewal, a five year event, just two days ago. I aced the eye exam as I am above 20/20 in distance vision but can’t read up close print. I may have gone under since then, since I now can not find Victor’s blog link Q&A’s and comments to same on the BB. Wasn’t it posted in the News thread? Where is it now, tonight? I may be oldish by many standards, but I would be so sad to learn I was both blind and senile. Have I overlooked it? Stating ones thoughts is way different than arguing.
JI, I knew you would enjoy it, Tay’s hangover and all. He makes the absolute Most of that small role, and people respond to someone who gives their best and all to a part. He does seem to want to entertain and make people happy. He is the same guy who we saw do his best to sing well, perform and entertain us on American Idol. He does enjoy the fame and appreciation and that is A’Okay with me.
Chill I’m not 100% sure of anything right now. I do know I have not experienced vision failure or decrease, the past 55 hrs. I do still recall my ex turned out to be an ass. I even know who is Our President and some of my state leaders. I know that Farrah and MJ died on the same day, June 25th, 2009. I knew today’s high temp here in MD. I know Tay has off tomorrow, Monday June 13th from Grease. But where oh where is that thread on the famed BB concerning the questions posed by the Philly so called journalist, Mr. V.F? For whatever reason I believe in freedom of information and am against book burnings and deletions of T.H.’s threads. Perhaps I just forgot where to locate that thread. Anything goes at my age!
For anyone local heres a number you can call WXTU where Taylor visited the other day to request. You might want to check their web site to see if there is a best time.
Henry, They do have a call in request from 12-1 but they also do some contest stuff at that time I have tried to call in and haven’t gotten through will keep trying though.
Good JI, I figure maybe some requests will help keep him on the list there. Just getting him played a little helps.
And don’t forget to vote for MrTwitterUSA.
This is a big one!!!!! http://tweeterwall.mallplace.com/tw/usa/mr-twitter-usa?page=1
All you have to do is hit that plus sign on his picture and even if you already did it you can go back and do it again after a time.
You guys! Are we staying over for the show on Saturday? Help me . . . haha! I’ll make the phone calls tomorrow. Taylor, you better hold onto at least 5 tickets, give me time to coordinate with Thelma and Louise.
I’m rescuing you, Jersey, can’t wait to see your pictures!
And, hey, you guys do know that there are two accounts where you can vote for Taylor? The imposter Taylor has quite a few votes. Too bad there wasn’t a way to merge them.
Henry, you on for Saturday at Work Play? Should I get six tickets?
Chill, I think he had gel in his hair might have been still a little wet. some pics it looks like it is thinning and then others it doesn’t. Wasn’t sure about putting up the pics of me with him.
He had on that vest he wore at the Triple Door looked really good!!!
I’ve been noticing his hair for the past year. Sometimes it looks thin all across the top and other times it looks fine. He seems to like that vest and I think he is sporting more than 1 vest.
Yeah, that’s best, Jersey. I won’t be able to see them until I get home, but I’m sure they’re beautiful. You and Taylor, how sweet. So what did his hands feel like anyway? LOL
Chill, His hand was very smooth and soft he gave me a little squeeze as he let go. Could smell the cologne on my hand. Hubby said” are we now not washing that hand? I’ll hold your other hand don’t want you to loose the scent.” When he first saw me he said “love your hair” cause I’m mostly salt and pepper. He was very sweet didn’t make me feel that I was a bother to him, he took that little bit of time with me, as he did with eveyone I saw him with, he make the moment special for everyone.
Chill….Birmingham might be a go. From the “size” of things, Sept. 15th is waaay to far down the road. My dear son in law almost lost his head the other night when telling my dear daughter “she should call Sesame St. She could be their Letter D”. LOL!
I’m thinking late Aug. , early Sept. at the latest. Keep your fingers crossed!
Misfit, I’ll get tickets as soon as I can! That’s enough for me. LOL I have to double tonight and tomorrow but I’ll be off Thursday. I’ll get online then. Yay, for childbirth.
Chill, Glad you liked them!! They are nice to look back on.
I didn’t see any date on the tweet, when I saw it it said it was posted 13 minutes ago, guess that was an hour by now.
How many hours did you work? I know hubby sometimes puts in marathons he has worked up to 18 hrs came home ate, goes to bed and back up the next morning. The money is always nice but by the time it is done he is going on sheer nerves.
Been going in every chance I get an voting for Taylor on Mr Twitter he is up to #3 hope he makes all the way to #1. He had many ahead of him as of yesterday guess lots of folks are voting.
I doubt he will get to the top but thats okay, I always like to see him get some votes so people know his fans are still out here.
I doubt if Taylor dreams about being Mr.TwitterUSA. LOL
LOL Chill, I kind of had my doubts.
At the same time I’m sure he would not want to sit there with no votes so I’m glad to see him climbing up.
I was kind of hoping the big D might win, sort of sounded like a good name for him.
If he had the votes that other TH has got he would be quite a bit higher. Do you know who started that page? Judging from the one tweet thats there, I’m a bit suspicious.
Okay, I know its the same song but with Taylor its never really the same is it?
OMG what a voice and watch his eyes. I don’t give a damn what anyone says . Hes the best.
Henry, What nice memories, just get goose bumps listening to that raw talent of his, no one I can see comes close to his pure emotion when performing, you can’t fake that it just comes from within.
Its nice to see that he is getting votes thats the main thing. Didn’t realize that was the second page. But he really moved up alot from Monday.
JI if you go to vote for Taylor look for the page numbers at the bottom. You have to go to page one now. Hes the last person on the page but he is on page one.
I have been busy, I’m packing to go to India and throttle Arnold. What a day.
Just to be clear, I’m not really going to India. Arnold was tech support and actually Arnold wasn’t too bad but the woman whose fake name I don’t know because I couldn’t understand a friggin word she said , her I could throttle.
Just went outside to take the dog out, and heard “The Long Way Home” being played on a harp. Seems my neighbor started playing about a year ago. Told him he sounded great, asked him what made him pick TLWH and he said it is a great song to learn to play the harp! Sound familar?
Trying to stay calm here my daughter is going to a Paintball Festival in Pa for the weekend, she’ll be about 15 minutes outside of Philly. I know the fellas she is going with will protect her, but I am worried about the ones that don’t know her and might try to get rough with her. She is tiny 5′1″ 91 lbs. She can’t wait to leave, I can.
Hi everyone. Going to the beach this weekend and won’t be back until the 27th. No puter, but I intend to come back more tan than a Taylor. Henry I’ve noticed that I usualy agree with your take on things on the BB. Not that our opinions are the right ones, but we tend to think alike. As for the new reported fan thing, I tend to be a doubting Thomas. rosie
What reported fan thing? LOL And isn’t that sweet that he called Sally Ann?! What a nice guy. I’m sure she appreciated that. Hopefully she had some sweet dreams while under the anesthetic. SallyAnn, our thoughts and prayers are with you also as you go through your surgery and recovery.
rosie, I took a look at boogie and didn’t see anything . Are you talking about Sallyanne?
I can see if you were not familiar with the people involved you might doubt a story like that. But Sally and the other fans reporting are well known and I’m sure its true.
Sally is well known to Taylor. Or maybe I’m an idiot and you are talking about something else altogether but I couldn’t find anything.
Rosie, Taylor was introduced to to Sally Ann during the 06 Idol tour, she came from Canada and he took time with her.He was impressed she came all the from Canada to see him. So I believe if he was told of her situation he would take the time to find out where she was and make the call. He is a gentle, gentle caring man!
Enjoy your time with your daughter!!
Asked if anyone has heard anything so far no one has said anything. Praying for her quick recovery.
Guess I’m wrong if you two say it is true I guess it must be. I was just surprised he had her phone number and would call a fan, but I only know her from RHS. I’m out of the loop.
Rosei, He called her at the hospital someone must have given him the infor about her surgery and the number of the hospital. Like Chill said she must have had sweet dreams going into surgery after talking to Taylor. Sweet man no doubt about it! I believe she has a son maybe Thomas is her son reporting how things are going. I looked, what thread is it on the BB .
Okay Chill, you are going to have to make a week out of it in Birmingham.
Seems if you purchase tickets to the opening night of Grease you can be included in a cast party with Taylor there.
Frankie Velvet is playing and I believe they are well known to Taylor and I will be surprised if he doesn’t hit the stage at some point.
This should be fun. I want someone I know there. http://blog.locustfork.net/2009/07/18/grease-opening-night-cast-party-with-taylor-hicks/
Oh my, that is a good deal. I paid $121.00 for my Broadway ticket and this is $100 fo orchestra seats, Vip party with free food and beers, live music and oh yea Tay at the party and most likely singing. Henry, hop on a bus and forget about us! Chill, can’t you swing that long a trip from Tues. come home Sat. see Tay twice and explore bham? Have the tickets for the 25th sold out? I want to party with Taylor… I think some SP will now plan a 6 day Bham vacation. rosie

I just saw on the Boogie that SMB is the #1 video on AOL’s Top 11; the next 10 are Michael Jackson. That is so freaking cool.
henry8 // July 10, 2009 at 12:06 am
Yep, hes no. 1 and hes at 168 on the ALL TIME most views.
At least he is on one list, their lists are nuts. As I saw someone say tonight if they won’t play him on the radio , we’ll play him on the internet.
And I just saw your playlist.
I’d put up a yea smilie but I don’t know what that would be.
Yes, that vid is definitely one of the top ten hot hot hot.
jerseyirish // July 10, 2009 at 4:53 am
One of my favorite also, gonna put that one up on twitter for all to see!!!!
Chill, Had seen that his was #1. We are keeping him going on the internet, like Henry said they won’t play him on radio they can’t stop us here!!!!
Taylor will be on 92.5 about 8:30 this morning with the two winners of the breakfast in the studio with him.

Yeah, JI they were impressed with the boots. LOL
In Television and Radio Appearances at Boogie there is an audio and more pics.
You remember last night we were going to hit the mediabase request forms to that station in Indiana that was not nice about SMB.
Well we must have had an effect. They added him to the request list.
Look and see and send it in some more.
http://www.mediabase.com/mmrweb/7/stationplaylistrequest.asp?format=C1&c_let=WLHK-FM
henry8 // July 10, 2009 at 10:21 am
And I think it would be a good idea to send a bunch into the station he visited today.
http://www.mediabase.com/mmrweb/7/stationplaylistrequest.asp?format=C1&c_let=WXTU-FM
I’ve been told the one in Philly is a big one.
henry8 // July 10, 2009 at 10:23 am
haha I just clicked on your link JI, you did hit the jackpot for the pictures. I thought it was just one. Taylor looked great but he needs a sandwich.
jerseyirish // July 10, 2009 at 10:25 am
Henry, I’ve been doing the Philly station every hour for the past couple of weeks getting in 10-15 requests a day. He was on the play list but this week came off have to write in now, maybe that he has been on they will put him back up.
Got a few into that Indiana station last night, glad it paid off.
Will check the bb.

He just shines as a comedian and singer, star and entertainer. rosie
jerseyirish // July 10, 2009 at 5:17 pm
Rsoie, Just put up at the bb that I send my brother Tasty Cakes in NC can’t get them there. The other biggie when he visits is Taylor Ham and bagels from the place we used to get them growing up, some tastes just never change in life.
Really getting excited for Sunday. He is a multi-talented man and I enjoy every aspect of his career, he is emerging as a great entertainer and thats what it is all about for him, entertaining folks.

rosem15 // July 10, 2009 at 5:27 pm
I’m not bugging my child with this, but someone with savy and balls and writing skills, should be able to figure out a way to draw attention to Taylor drawing more hits than MJ.
rosem15 // July 10, 2009 at 5:39 pm
JI, my high school friend who moved to Texas, stocks up on Tastykakes when she visits Balto. or her NJ relatives in Jersey. If you mean Taylor’s Pork Roll. I grew up on that as a breakfast meat and as a sandwich for lunch. My San Fran born and raised daughter in law wanted no parts of it the first time she visited. So I threatened her with Scraple, a way more mysterious meat, dipped in flour and then fried. Can’t believe Tastykake never went national when it is hoards above Hostess, Drakes and Little Debbie. Almost bought some today after I had my Driver’s Liscense renewed, but upon looking at my new photo declined. rosie
jerseyirish // July 10, 2009 at 5:48 pm

JI
rosem15 // July 10, 2009 at 8:12 pm
Just one more question before I call it a night. Who do you think is getting SMB so high on MuVids and AOL? You know what, it is almost creepy that the song gets so many hits but doesn’t get radio play. Taylor is not current news, he was the AI winner over 3 yrs ago. Read the BB and other fan sites and then explain his hits, the number of views against MJ. I’ve been perplexed since way before MJ’s death, but this is bizaar. I used to think mistake or foul up on MuVids, but AOl is big! Heck, guess I was even surprised by WRIR stats, but this seems surreal.
henry8 // July 10, 2009 at 10:33 pm
Thing is I hope for Taylors success for his sake, not because I want to impress my friends and neighbors.
henry8 // July 10, 2009 at 11:49 pm
If you didn’t find it , here is Taylors sessions page at AOL. I love listening to them and he was certainly hot….hot….hot that day.
Not seeing a damn thing “cheesy” about him or his music, whatever in the hell that word means.

he cracks me up, he didn’t get that quite right but we got the message.
jerseyirish // July 11, 2009 at 5:32 am
I hit the vids at the sites as many times a day I can, some days more than others. Until Henry told me about going to the actual site to play them I didn’t realize it either that he wasn’t getting the hits, all the vids I played cause I had saved them and he didn’t get credit for it. I guess the word is out and folks are going and giving him the hits at the sites and it is making a big difference.
Henry, Got a big kick out of his last tweet asked him if hes been in the cone too long and the air maybe not so good!
Have a nice day!!!

jerseyirish // July 11, 2009 at 6:08 am
Henry, Just went in to do mediabase requests and see that 92.5 Philly has him back on the list, yeah!!!!
JI
henry8 // July 11, 2009 at 8:44 am
Yea!!
I’m just observing and learning a lot.
jerseyirish // July 11, 2009 at 8:55 am
Henry, I think we are all learning as we go. Son mentioned something to me about mediabase that they take all the requests into consideration but look at the zip code entered if the request is locally it seems to have some weight. He said someone told him that. Again don’t know if that is true or not but it does make some sense if you are listening locally that they might tend to look at those requests first, I got 17 requests in at 92.5 yesterday the most I’ve done in a day.
JI
henry8 // July 11, 2009 at 9:40 am
I don’t even put in a zip, I was told that all that was neccessary was a name, they take it and thank you for the request so I guess it works. If they want to know where its from they can tell from IPs , I’m sure.
But these stations anymore are really pushing this online listening and seem to be trying to get listeners from all over. If thats the case I’m not sure how much difference it makes.
I do know that the fans of other artists are sending them in from all over and they seem to think that it works.
But I’m really starting to think that rather than sending a 100 to a 100 different spots, it might have more effect to sent 10 each to 10 different spots. I’m still sending a bunch all over, but more and more I am trying to concentrate my efforts and sending a lot more than one to the bigger stations or the stations where he is at and may be visiting.
jerseyirish // July 11, 2009 at 9:50 am
Henry, Thats what I have been doing making sure I do the requests for the PA stations on the media base every hour and including as many as I can of the others each hour. I know it isn’t hurting him so I do a bunch each hour. Wish I understood it all, but I don’t. Hopefully 92.5 will play him more now that he has been on. Read that they played it again yesterday about 11:30 am, I had gone to the bank about that time so I didn’t hear it.

henry8 // July 12, 2009 at 9:39 am
Perhaps JI will see a little of this.
From a post at boogie:
I can’t say enough good things about how that CD signing went yesterday for Taylor. The group surrounding him extended back to the first set of doors leading to the theater doors and was wall-to-wall. The video I took shows that the crowd was all a-buzz trying to get a CD in time to get a chance to meet him

rosem15 // July 12, 2009 at 12:42 pm
I’m loving this global cooling in this part of the US. If the rest of the summer stays this cool we will have the coolest summer in 35 yrs., Misters Gore and Obama. Tay ain’t sweating in Philly.
henry8 // July 12, 2009 at 12:57 pm
rosy I did not want it to be all negative, so hoped there would be some positive but it has gotten totally out of hand on that article.
And judging from the pics most of those fans were not the regulars.
henry8 // July 12, 2009 at 1:01 pm
And about that global warming/climate change crock . Gee whiz, the climate changes, who would have thunk it. We had the tropics when the dinosaurs were alive. Guess what, it changed.

JI, experienced a hung over Cone Ranger. T.R.H. is the fine up standing guy but Cone Ranger can be naughty.
rosem15 // July 12, 2009 at 4:14 pm
In reality both fields are as subjective as the music and entertainment fields. rosie
jerseyirish // July 12, 2009 at 4:56 pm

JI
henry8 // July 12, 2009 at 5:17 pm
JI I think a slighly hungover Taylor would look better than most people at their best. I didn’t think he would be too bad knowing he had a show. He was just playing with us a bit.
And JI, you are an angel. Soooo glad you got that kid his cd. He will cherish it and it will be worth far more to him than that $20. Some things are more important.
jerseyirish // July 12, 2009 at 5:27 pm
Henry, The look on that kids face when we gave him the signed CD with his name on it was worth more than the 20 bucks, Tommy just felt the Mom was heartless, not buying the CD and letting him get is signed is all part of the experience. Maybe she just didn’t have the money who knows but we left a very happy Bobby!!!
Hubby just said it was such a nice day the weather was beautiful and we spent our special day together, he wasn’t so sure going he would enjoy it, but was very happy he went, it was well worth the trip!
JI
rosem15 // July 12, 2009 at 5:31 pm
JI, liked your lobby recap and story. Wow $20.00 is a hefty price, but good for him and his pockets that he can get that much. Wonder if he pays the venues a few bucks for allowing the sale and signings. Still that is way better a profit than those signed with AI. He was so far removed from pissy when I met him after Grease. He was humble and engaging.
jerseyirish // July 12, 2009 at 5:44 pm

And I don’t get those who seem to be AI fans and get hooked on some other contestant who seems way different than Tay, both music wise and in personality.
rosem15 // July 12, 2009 at 5:55 pm
Sorry for the rant. I get it that it seems to be a status quo thing, as in that is the way it has been from the start. Don’t worry. My other half Tyme, is not about to tear the whole place down, and be on my way. I respect traditions. rosie
henry8 // July 12, 2009 at 6:31 pm
I like lots of music and have other artists I like to listen to but thats not the reason I go there so I just leave it alone.
chill // July 12, 2009 at 6:36 pm
Jersey!!! You’re back! I’m so happy that you had a great experience with The Man. LOL It’s fun to watch his part, isn’t it? How did the crowd react when Taylor came out?
haha, rosie, yes, tradition. I respect the BB too and when I feel the need to tear up, I do it here. LOL
henry8 // July 12, 2009 at 6:40 pm
As far as the responding to the negative articles, I can see both sides of it. You want to say something positive but there is always the chance of it spiraling out of control, especially when you are dealing with a so-called journalist that wants nothing more than for everyone to look like a bunch of crazies.
I just decide each one on an individual basis depending on the circumstances.
And yes, there are a few who just don’t want ever to hear anything bad. I don’t go along with that but I don’t argue about it anymore.
jerseyirish // July 12, 2009 at 6:58 pm

Stating ones thoughts is way different than arguing.
rosem15 // July 12, 2009 at 7:25 pm
JI, I knew you would enjoy it, Tay’s hangover and all. He makes the absolute Most of that small role, and people respond to someone who gives their best and all to a part. He does seem to want to entertain and make people happy. He is the same guy who we saw do his best to sing well, perform and entertain us on American Idol. He does enjoy the fame and appreciation and that is A’Okay with me.
jerseyirish // July 12, 2009 at 8:11 pm
Rosie, I’ll tell you looked great didn’t know about the hangover until I got home, if he was hurting he didn’t let on!!

rosem15 // July 12, 2009 at 9:08 pm
Anything goes at my age!
chill // July 12, 2009 at 9:31 pm
Aw, hell, we’re all senile. hahaha!! Didn’t you know?
I’m having visions of witches being burned at the stake. Thanks.

Interesting.

Chill delete the phone number please. not right.
jerseyirish // July 13, 2009 at 9:01 am
Henry, They do have a call in request from 12-1 but they also do some contest stuff at that time I have tried to call in and haven’t gotten through will keep trying though.
JI
henry8 // July 13, 2009 at 10:08 am
Good JI, I figure maybe some requests will help keep him on the list there. Just getting him played a little helps.

And don’t forget to vote for MrTwitterUSA.
This is a big one!!!!!

You guys! Are we staying over for the show on Saturday? Help me . . . haha! I’ll make the phone calls tomorrow. Taylor, you better hold onto at least 5 tickets, give me time to coordinate with Thelma and Louise.
henry8 // July 14, 2009 at 12:39 am
Did anyone read the rule for that Mr. Twitter contest at the top of the page. I think Taylor qualifies. hehe
Chill, I told you when they announced that 2nd Workplay show that you had better get tickets.
LOL
You just never listen to me.
jerseyirish // July 14, 2009 at 5:27 am
Chill, When you have a minute I’m in moderation put up some pics from Sunday guess too many. Just of the theatre and him signing CD”S.
So you gonna stay for both days at Work Play, that would be nice two days in a row of Taylor!!!!
Henry going back over to put in some more votes today for Mr. Twitter.
JI
chill // July 14, 2009 at 5:44 am
I’m rescuing you, Jersey, can’t wait to see your pictures!
And, hey, you guys do know that there are two accounts where you can vote for Taylor? The imposter Taylor has quite a few votes. Too bad there wasn’t a way to merge them.
Henry, you on for Saturday at Work Play? Should I get six tickets?
chill // July 14, 2009 at 5:48 am
Look up for Jersey’s pictures. ^
Um, am I the only one starting to worry about his hair?
jerseyirish // July 14, 2009 at 5:55 am
Chill, I think he had gel in his hair might have been still a little wet. some pics it looks like it is thinning and then others it doesn’t. Wasn’t sure about putting up the pics of me with him.
He had on that vest he wore at the Triple Door looked really good!!!
JI
rosem15 // July 14, 2009 at 7:22 am
I’ve been noticing his hair for the past year. Sometimes it looks thin all across the top and other times it looks fine. He seems to like that vest and I think he is sporting more than 1 vest.
chill // July 14, 2009 at 9:22 am

Yeah, that’s best, Jersey. I won’t be able to see them until I get home, but I’m sure they’re beautiful. You and Taylor, how sweet. So what did his hands feel like anyway? LOL
jerseyirish // July 14, 2009 at 12:22 pm
Chill, His hand was very smooth and soft he gave me a little squeeze as he let go. Could smell the cologne on my hand. Hubby said” are we now not washing that hand? I’ll hold your other hand don’t want you to loose the scent.” When he first saw me he said “love your hair” cause I’m mostly salt and pepper. He was very sweet didn’t make me feel that I was a bother to him, he took that little bit of time with me, as he did with eveyone I saw him with, he make the moment special for everyone.

Misfit // July 14, 2009 at 2:25 pm
Chill….Birmingham might be a go. From the “size” of things, Sept. 15th is waaay to far down the road. My dear son in law almost lost his head the other night when telling my dear daughter “she should call Sesame St. She could be their Letter D”. LOL!
I’m thinking late Aug. , early Sept. at the latest. Keep your fingers crossed!

I think thats #3 on the 2nd page JI.
but climbing steadily.
I doubt he will get to the top but thats okay, I always like to see him get some votes so people know his fans are still out here.
I doubt if Taylor dreams about being Mr.TwitterUSA. LOL
chill // July 15, 2009 at 9:30 pm
hahaha!! Mr. TwitterUSA LOL!! You don’t think he likes the sound of that?
henry8 // July 15, 2009 at 9:36 pm
LOL Chill, I kind of had my doubts.
At the same time I’m sure he would not want to sit there with no votes so I’m glad to see him climbing up.
I was kind of hoping the big D might win, sort of sounded like a good name for him.
If he had the votes that other TH has got he would be quite a bit higher. Do you know who started that page? Judging from the one tweet thats there, I’m a bit suspicious.

Its nice to see that he is getting votes thats the main thing. Didn’t realize that was the second page. But he really moved up alot from Monday.
Have a good one!!!

I have been busy, I’m packing to go to India and throttle Arnold. What a day.
henry8 // July 16, 2009 at 6:50 pm

As for the new reported fan thing, I tend to be a doubting Thomas. rosie
chill // July 17, 2009 at 12:43 pm
What reported fan thing? LOL And isn’t that sweet that he called Sally Ann?! What a nice guy. I’m sure she appreciated that. Hopefully she had some sweet dreams while under the anesthetic.
SallyAnn, our thoughts and prayers are with you also as you go through your surgery and recovery.
henry8 // July 17, 2009 at 2:57 pm
rosie, I took a look at boogie and didn’t see anything . Are you talking about Sallyanne?
I can see if you were not familiar with the people involved you might doubt a story like that. But Sally and the other fans reporting are well known and I’m sure its true.
Sally is well known to Taylor. Or maybe I’m an idiot and you are talking about something else altogether but I couldn’t find anything.
jerseyirish // July 17, 2009 at 3:22 pm
Rosie, Taylor was introduced to to Sally Ann during the 06 Idol tour, she came from Canada and he took time with her.He was impressed she came all the from Canada to see him. So I believe if he was told of her situation he would take the time to find out where she was and make the call. He is a gentle, gentle caring man!
Enjoy your time with your daughter!!
Asked if anyone has heard anything so far no one has said anything. Praying for her quick recovery.
JI

Rosei, He called her at the hospital someone must have given him the infor about her surgery and the number of the hospital. I looked, what thread is it on the BB .

Seems if you purchase tickets to the opening night of Grease you can be included in a cast party with Taylor there.
Frankie Velvet is playing and I believe they are well known to Taylor and I will be surprised if he doesn’t hit the stage at some point.
This should be fun. I want someone I know there.
